How the Retreva franchise model works

Most franchises take a cut of everything you earn. This one pays you instead.

You sell Retreva to businesses in your market. Retreva runs the software, writes the outreach, supports the client, and handles the billing. Every month that client stays, you get paid.

What you are actually buying

You are not buying a location. You are building a subscription base.

Most franchise opportunities hand you a building, a build-out, equipment, inventory, and a payroll to make it all work. From that point on, your success depends on how well you run the operation.

This one works differently. There is no storefront, no inventory, and no equipment. What you are buying is the right to sell a software subscription and to be paid a share of it for as long as your client keeps using it.

That changes what you are building. Instead of a location that has to open every morning, you are building a base of active subscriptions. Each one you add pays alongside the ones before it.

One clarification worth making early. Retreva owns the subscriber relationships, which is what keeps billing, service, and data practices consistent across the system, so those relationships are not sold separately. The asset you build is the franchise itself, and it is transferable with Retreva’s approval.

How the money moves

You never send an invoice. You never chase a payment.

1

Your client subscribes.

They pay Retreva directly.

2

Retreva runs the account.

Billing, collections, onboarding, and support.

3

You are paid a share every month.

For as long as that client stays active.

In most businesses, you would be building an invoicing process, a collections process, and a way to handle the client who pays sixty days late. Here you never touch a client payment. No receivables and no month-end scramble. The relationship is yours. The paperwork is ours.

Your share is calculated on revenue actually collected and paid electronically by the 15th of each month for the prior month. You receive a statement showing total revenue, the share calculation, any fees and offsets, and the net amount paid.

Where your job starts and stops

Your job is the relationship. Everything else is ours.

If you have ever been sold a business that promised freedom and delivered a second job, read this part twice. You are not running a service operation. You are not writing emails for your clients. You are not answering support questions at nine at night.

YOU OWN
RETREVA OWNS
Revenue share, not royalty

Why Retreva pays you instead of the other way around

In a traditional franchise, the franchisor makes money by taking a percentage of everything the franchisee sells. That is the entire business model. The better you do, the more they take, every month, for as long as you own the business.

Retreva’s structure runs in the other direction. Subscribers pay Retreva directly, and Retreva pays you a share of the subscription revenue collected on your accounts. It is a revenue share rather than a royalty. Some people in franchising call it a reverse royalty.

The practical difference is more than a lower cost. Retreva only earns while your subscribers stay, which means your renewals and ours are the same event. You will never find yourself on the other side of the table from a franchisor whose interests point away from yours.

The one recurring charge running the other way is a flat $200 monthly technology fee, which does not grow as you do. Items 6 and 7 of the Franchise Disclosure Document list every charge that can apply.

What a week actually looks like

What the work actually looks like

1

Where the work happens and what a normal day opens with

There is no office to open and no storefront to unlock. Retreva franchisees work from home, or from anywhere with a reliable connection and a phone. The day runs on Retreva’s own resources: an extensive knowledge base with training videos, the Retreva CRM, and Google Workspace.

Because Retreva handles fulfillment, onboarding, client support, and billing, your hours go where the revenue comes from: adding contacts, following up with prospects, and sitting down with decision-makers.

2

How franchisees find the businesses they talk to

It starts with who you already know. Retreva franchisees sell to business owners, executives, sales leaders, and decision-makers in their existing professional network, people who already trust their judgment.

From there, the network grows the way any good seller’s does. Franchisees keep adding new contacts as they meet them, including through Space Scout, and they put themselves in rooms full of decision-makers: speaking engagements, chamber of commerce events, networking groups, and industry events.

3

What a first conversation with a prospect sounds like

Most first conversations are with someone who already knows you, so they start from trust rather than a cold pitch. The franchisee walks the prospect through how Retreva works: AI drafts and sequences the outreach based on the prospect’s market, a real person reviews every message before it sends, and every reply is read and sorted so only qualified opportunities reach the client’s inbox.

You are not building a sales presentation from scratch. Retreva supplies the sales tools, training, and materials franchisees use to have confident conversations, along with the product demo itself.

4

What happens after someone says yes

The client subscribes and pays Retreva directly, and Retreva takes it from there. Right after signing up, the new subscriber receives a few emails asking about their business, so Retreva’s team can write outreach tailored to their industry and prospects.

The client then adds their contacts. Past customers who have gone quiet are often the quickest wins. Retreva turns the campaign on, a Retreva assistant handles every reply, and the client is notified as soon as a prospect is ready to meet, wants to learn more, requests a quote, or provides valuable feedback. Anything your client needs to see.

Your part does not end at the signature. Staying in touch with existing customers is the best way to earn referrals and keep accounts active for the long term, and every month an account stays active is another month you are paid your share.

5

The kinds of businesses that turn out to be the best fit

Retreva fits anywhere consistent sales prospecting is critical to growth. It works across retail, staffing, manufacturing, insurance, medical device, and more, for local businesses and nationwide organizations alike.

The strongest fits tend to share one challenge: sales leaders and business owners are spending too much time on routine prospecting instead of revenue-generating conversations. Retreva handles the consistent outreach and nurtures relationships over time, bringing engaged prospects back to the sales team when they’re ready so salespeople can focus on building trust, closing deals, and growing revenue. Brands, including FASTSIGNS, Express Employment Professionals, Batteries Plus, Monster Tree Service, and Big Frog, use Retreva to keep their pipelines active without pulling their teams away from selling.

A Retreva Franchise is not for everyone

The owners who thrive with Retreva know how to sell, build relationships, and open doors. For some, Retreva is a natural addition to what they are already doing. Others jump all in and make Retreva their primary focus. Either way, Retreva provides the proven model, technology, training, and support to help them build and grow.
